Asian steamed salmon in the Multi Cooker – light, delicious & super quick

Ingredients (Serves 2)
For the salmon:

2 salmon fillets (with or without skin)

1 tbsp freshly grated ginger

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

1 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tsp sesame oil
-
1 tsp rice vinegar or lime juice

A few thin slices of chili (optional)

Fresh coriander and sesame seeds for garnish
To serve:

200 ml jasmine rice

Steamed broccoli, edamame or sugar snap peas

Extra soy sauce or ponzu for drizzling
How to make it – simple and elegant:
Step 1: Prepare the salmon
Place the salmon fillets on a small piece of baking paper or in a steaming basket. Top with ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil and rice vinegar. Add chili slices if you want a bit of heat.
Step 2: Cook the rice
Add the rice and water to the inner pot (200 ml rice, 300 ml water and a pinch of salt). Select the “Rice” function – the multi cooker will take care of the rest.
Step 3: Steam the salmon and vegetables
Once the rice is done, remove it and keep it warm. Place the salmon and vegetables in the steaming tray. Select the “Steam” function and set the timer to about 10 minutes – depending on the thickness of the fillets. The multi cooker ensures gentle, even steaming for a perfectly moist result.
Step 4: Plate and serve
Serve the rice with the steamed salmon and vegetables. Drizzle with extra soy sauce or ponzu and garnish with coriander and sesame seeds.
