Lunchbox Magic with ONYX Cookware – Back-to-School Inspiration
Back-to-school season is here – and that means new routines, alarm clocks going off too early… and lunchboxes that need to be packed every single day.
But packed lunches don’t have to be boring or time-consuming. With the right kitchen tools and a little planning, you can whip up easy, healthy, and varied lunches – even on the busiest weekdays.
Here are our top tips – plus two easy recipes – for lunchboxes that satisfy and delight.
1. Meal prep smarter with a Multi Cooker or Air Fryer
Save time by preparing multiple components at once – right in your ONYX Cookware Multi Cooker or Air Fryer.
Some ideas:
-
Mini omelettes in muffin cups (steamed or baked in the Multi Cooker)
-
Veggie fritters in the Air Fryer – tasty warm or cold
-
Homemade snack buns with cheese or veggies
-
Pasta salad or rice-based dishes made in 10 minutes in the Multi Cooker – perfect as a base
2. Freeze in portions – and always have something ready
When you’re already cooking, make larger batches and freeze them in small containers or bags. That way, you’ll always have something ready on a busy morning – and let the Multi Cooker and Air Fryer do the heavy lifting:
-
Rice and pasta → cook quickly in the Multi Cooker and use in wraps or salads
-
Vegetables → steam in the Multi Cooker or roast in the Air Fryer – ideal for sandwiches and wraps
-
Chicken or meatballs → easy to cook in the Air Fryer and a great protein boost in the lunchbox
3. Make the lunchbox fun (and kid-friendly)
It doesn’t need to be fancy – a little goes a long way:
-
Use silicone cups or small containers to add variety
-
Cut fruit and veggies into sticks or fun shapes
-
Include little surprises – like a homemade muffin or a dip
