Baked feta with pasta
An easy, creamy pasta dish with baked feta, sweet cherry tomatoes, chilli and fresh herbs. Perfect for weekday dinners when you want something simple, flavourful and quick to make.
Baked feta with pasta is a popular and incredibly easy pasta dish in which feta and cherry tomatoes are baked together in the oven until the tomatoes become soft, sweet and juicy, and the feta becomes warm and creamy. Tossing the cooked pasta with the baked feta and tomatoes gives you a rich, flavourful pasta dish with very few ingredients.
This dish is especially good for busy weekdays because the oven does most of the work. Simply place cherry tomatoes and feta in an ovenproof pan or dish, add oil, seasonings and a little chilli, and bake everything while the pasta cooks.
For this recipe, a ONYX COOKWARE™ frying pan is a good choice, as it can be used both in the oven and for serving. The even heat distribution helps the tomatoes become tender and sweet while the feta develops the right creamy consistency. You can also use a chef's knife and a walnut chopping board if you want to top the dish with freshly chopped herbs.
Tip: Save a little pasta water before draining the pasta. The starchy water makes the sauce extra creamy and helps the feta, tomatoes and pasta come together into a delicious pasta dish.

Tips for the best baked feta pasta
Use ripe, sweet cherry tomatoes. They provide the best flavour and a richer sauce when baked in the oven.
Always save a little pasta water. It makes the sauce creamier and helps it cling better to the pasta.
Choose a pasta shape that holds the sauce. Penne, fusilli and rigatoni work particularly well for baked feta with pasta.
Add fresh herbs just before serving. Basil, parsley or chives bring freshness to the dish and balance the salty feta.
